Time management: tips for working smart

Spend your time the right way

At DUS, we believe in the success formulas: work hard, play hard and get sh*t done. Efficiency is thereby pursued in order to have the most productive day possible. Time management is a way to schedule your day well. How to do that you can read in this blog.

What is time management?

By "time management," we mean spending your time correctly. The goal of time management is to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of your workday. A schedule is a form of time management. It is a division of various activities that you organize and plan. The result of working without a schedule is soon stress and chaos. Time management is being able to distinguish between urgent/non-urgent and important/unimportant. Prioritizing is at the forefront of this.

Benefits of time management

Time management always comes in handy and can be good for anything. Fair is fair, who doesn't like structure? Creating structure in private and/or work environments is good for inner peace and ensures that precious time is not wasted. How can you apply it?

TIPS

1. Willingness: Without motivation, no progress. Be open to change.

2. Goals: Make goals achievable and possibly break one big goal into several small goals.

3. Don't always say 'yes': Your time is precious and make sure you don't make too much of it. Saying no is also okay.

4. Avoid distractions: All the incoming emails and chats can quickly distract you. Make sure you schedule set times to respond.

5. Task list: Keep track of the various tasks and complete them.
