Conference Festival of Wellbeing
How do you present 5 new, smart tools to make a difference in the workplace? Otherside at Work did it at DUS in a unique way: a conference event! With inspiring speakers, interactive break-outs and an energetic performance by Typhoon. And where there is time for listening, there is also time for networking - with plenty of room for that in our Play Quarter.
Inspire, activate and recharge
Guests not only learned about "why it's OK to be a little unhappy," digital strategies for future-proofing organizations and other things about wellbeing, but were also able to really take a break in the ReCharge. The large dome offered a 360-degree experience where guests could recharge their brains from the rush of hypermodern life. With a cool audiovisual show, their nervous systems came to rest. And that suits DUS perfectly: creating space for new ideas.
A day full of experience
Besides the hypnotic experience in the dome, great guest performances and inspiring speeches, there were plenty of other creative activities for a day full of experiences. For example, there was a caravan photobooth to take pictures together, umbrellas in Otherside at Work's colors rained down on the path to Playtime and there was a DJ at the drinks. Besides delicious snacks and refreshing drinks, the DJ played the Sound of Wellbeing: the soundtrack of the day, composed by all the guests who could pass on their favorite songs. So wellbeing sounded not only in the content, but also in the speakers!
Every year we want to surprise our clients and associates, both with content and with atmosphere and experience. DUS was exactly the right location to organize the Festival of Wellbeing. Lots of possibilities, excellent facilities and catering, and just as important a great team to work with. As a result, our clients and associates had a great day.
So, what can you expect?
DUS is a place where you can almost touch the ships on the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal. A place where you hold meetings on swings, brainstorm in a hammock, let loose during playtime, picnic on the city beach, jot down your ideas on giant cardboard tables, and think bigger than a flip chart with your team. A place where everything is thoughtfully arranged with you in mind — with all the space you need to turn plans into action.

In the days before the event we had to change gears: from arranging a huge tent to adjusting all the setups, because the stand for 300 people outside could not take place due to bad weather. Thanks to the good cooperation - internally and with Otherside at Work - it all went smoothly. And it really was a great day!
